Traffic Light Consent System

The traffic light consent system is a clear and easy way to indicate varying levels of consent, whether it's in person or in chats online.Various emojis, safe words or coloured fans can be used to indicate how a person is feeling in a given situation and indicate if a person needs to stop or change course during kink play.These symbols can be seen to the right.

🚦 or "Traffic Light"

Indicates that the person is looking for you to give a traffic light to indicate how you are feeling as they might be unsure if they have your consent.

🟢 or "Green Light"

Indicates that the person is comfortable, fully consenting, and happy for the scene/play to continue unchanged.

🟡 or "Yellow/Amber Light"

Indicates that the person is uncomfortable, needs the scene/play to change direction from the current topic/activity, but doesn't want it to stop.

🔴 or "Red Light"

Indicates that the person is not feeling safe, or is in danger, they are withdrawing consent and need the scene/play to stop immediately.

🔵 or "Blue Light"

Indicates that while the person would like to take play in the current direction, they are not able to do so.
